Turn Negatives into Positives
The Shayna Rose Interiors Way
This month has been insane – not only because of the health crisis in the world right now, but because of how that health crisis affects our social lives, businesses, incomes, sense of safety, and overall mental wellbeing. It’s easy to let your mind wander towards negative thoughts during times like these, but the team at Shayna Rose Interiors wants to help you find positivity within the madness!
Here are some of the negatives we’ve found ourselves thinking about lately – and the positives we’re working toward turning them into:
Negative: “I’m getting so bored stuck at home!”
Positive: “It’s nice to have some time to enjoy my beautiful home.”
Think about it. When was the last time you’ve had real down time to just be at home? Take a deep breath and look around you. Notice all of the beautiful things you love about your home. Water your plants. Appreciate the art you’ve collected piece by piece. Fluff those throw pillows you never have a chance to use. And then sit down on your sofa, kick up your feet, and take the time to feel grateful for the comfort and safety of your home.

Negative: “I feel pressured to be extra productive during self-isolation.”
Positive: “I get to choose where to aim my effort and productivity.”
There’s been so much content on social media about how to make the most of this time and be extra productive in your career. But for some, this time in isolation won’t be your most productive time for work. And you know what? That’s ok! It’s actually an opportunity for you to choose how you want to spend your time at home. Read a book you’ve been meaning to get around to. Or learn a new song on the piano. Or start a DIY project you’ve never tried before – like painting an accent wall in your guest bathroom!
Want to put your productivity toward home improvement? Our handyman will come to your home with gloves, masks, and disinfectant to help! Full-day, half-day, and by-the-hour available.
Negative: “I’m feeling lonely now that I can’t go out.”
Positive: “There’s a great online community I can join!”
At Shayna Rose Interiors, we’re dedicated to helping our community find the silver lining during this uncertain time. So we’re putting together an online community of people interested in meeting virtually to lift each other up and keep each other going. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!
